- A design made for your business. Not a theme with your logo dropped in. Your services, your wording, your photographs, laid out around what you actually want people to do.
- Written mobile-first. Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, so that layout gets decided first and the desktop one follows — not the other way round.
- The SEO groundwork. Titles, descriptions, headings in a real order, structured data, a sitemap and clean URLs. The part that decides whether Google can read the site at all.
- Contact that reaches you. Forms that land in your inbox, click-to-call, WhatsApp, a map — whichever your customers actually use.
- Hosting and domain set up in your name. Your accounts, your card, your control. Usually $5–15 a month paid straight to the host — I don't mark it up or resell it.
- An SSL certificate and the security basics. The padlock, spam protection on forms, and no admin login sitting at a guessable address.
- Analytics that tell you something. Where visitors came from and what they did, set up so you can read it without a course in it.
- Every file, handed over. No monthly fee holding the site hostage, and nothing stopping you taking it to another developer tomorrow. That's deliberate.

Yes. If you'll be changing text and images regularly I'll put a simple editor behind it so you don't need me for that. If the content barely changes, I'll skip the editor — it's one more thing to maintain and log into for no benefit.
Sometimes you should, and I build those too. WordPress earns its place when a team publishes constantly, or you need a specific plugin ecosystem. For a business with eight pages that change twice a year, it's a lot of moving parts to maintain for nothing in return.
Two to three weeks for a typical business site, from the point your content is ready. The sample lands within three days of your first message, so you'll know very early whether it's going the right way.
That's normal and it doesn't hold anything up. I'll write the first draft from what you tell me about the business and you correct it — far easier than starting at a blank page. For images I'll use properly licensed stock, and tell you plainly which ones are worth replacing with real photos later.
